Compositionally, Halpern straddles the line between Claude Debussy and Steve Reich, while never getting as harmonically deep as either. However, as Halpern is widely recognized as a leader in the realm of "sound health," the true intention of this CD is to relax the listener. Depending upon your aesthetics, this should work just fine.
