by Scott YanowNot quite up to the level of their previous Nice Guys, Full Force is nevertheless a decent effort from The Art Ensemble of Chicago. Although there is one composition apiece from each of the bandmembers except drummer Don Moye, trumpeter Lester Bowie emerges as the most memorable soloist and his "Charlie M" (a tribute to Charles Mingus) is the most interesting performance. It's not essential but is worth picking up.
