I first heard this band via their "Barefoof and Live" CD in a jukebox at a great pub in Steilacoom, Washington in 1998 or 1999. It was a sound that caught me instantly as just a great rocking sound...melllow, nuanced, but still (thankfully) rough around the edges. Nothing like hanging with friends at the pub, enjoying cool Alaska Amber beer (or two, or three, or four) and dropping enough quarters to play the entire album. Took me a while to find this album via either CD or download..the search can be a bit hard...but it is out there if you try. Don't know if they are still playing these ten years later, but I hope that they are. In the meantime, I'll pop the top on another beer, spind the CD, and enjoy the wonderful memories of friends, the pub, and the great times at Ft Lewis, Washington BEFORE the war.
