Rapper ResKp (pronounced "rescapé", French for "survivor") hails from Dakar, Senegal, where he released his debut album, Dafa Jot (It's Time) in 2009. His upcoming album, Sarax (Offering) - coming in 2017 - will be his first international release. Rapping in French and Wolof about socio-political issues in his home country and on the global stage, ResKp blends contemporary hip hop beats with local instruments, vocals, and rhythms to create a unique musical style.
