Born into a heart warming multicultural family where there was always music playing somewhere in the house. At the age of 16 started performing with an African Dance shows and soon after that started singing with a band called Los Bravos. My career took off as a singer dancer, base guitar player, Mc and all rounder and was eager to learn more about music. I was fortuned to perform with many bands and artists such as: Las Chicas Del Can (Dominican Rep.), Anita Meyer (Netherlands) Buju Banton (Jamaica), Mighty Sparrow (Trinidad), Musical Time, Quasi and multiple other bands in Aruba during Calypso and Road March festivals as well as performing during the Carnival parades. Entertaining the hotel guest with a one woman shows daily was fun. Along the way there were a few cd’s produced as a solo artist of which a few were known Internationally such as “Ecstasy” in 1991. In 1998 I took a break of my artist career to dedicate my time to family. Music was always around me day and night and it kept giving me that bubbly feeling of longing for and in 2014 I couldn’t resist it anymore and my love for performing came back out, I joined a local band “Kawura Roots Band” where the Reggae influences from the young age came out running again. In 2016 had the unexpected honor to perform with Miri and Final Faze during the opening show for the legendary Morgan Heritage in the British Virgin Islands. This performance led to more ideas to start a solo career and a fusion of music such as kizumba, zouk and reggae was the result. The first song was “Jah will is the Last will” Then the song “Woman Like We” came out it is a collaboration with the Impressive Reggae artist “Pressure Busspipe” who is originally from St. Thomas USVI. For this collaboration I have to thank “McBogle” from St. Croix for as he made this collaboration happen which is a dream come true for me. Pressure Busspipe is a big example for me. His “Righteous, Truthful” songs about life and situations are soothing to listen to, he is multi talent, not only singing Roots, or Reggae but also love songs and not to forget a tribute to his place of birth “ Virgin Island Nice” the song became an cultural icon in short its an honor. The song “You are my Heartbeat “ a afrobeat fushion was released in July 2017 The song “Come into my world” Release date is Oct 5, 2017 In the Studio to finish “Sistren” and "Got to know you" both song composed by "Jameel Nairne (Str8 Fyah Beats) in short life is good live it to the fullest ….Live Laugh and Love ....hope you like the music VERY SHORT BIO On a very young age I was exposed to many styles of music with a mother who loved music from Peter Tosh, Bob Marley and the Wailers to Blondie to Bigi Pokoe (Surinam Music) to the classical music of Europe and a two-step Merengue it is no surprise that I love dancing and music. Joining the African dancers was the beginning of all. Having lived in the Netherlands, South America, Jamaica, Aruba, British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and a few other places made me love all kinds of music. Having the privilege to perform, working all over this big ball called earth made me who I am today. I am thankful to “the most high” for my family, opportunities, talent and meeting up with the right people at the right time, to be able to stay humble and have enough stories to tell my grandchildren when I sit in my rocking chair with a group of friends and grandchildren over looking the Caribbean Sea. (Probably with a guitar in my hand singing one love of Bob Marley as music is a language that unite us all together)
