We welcome Melbournes Tanya Batt and Birminghams Ficci are both new to our Yacht Club, but theyve made a particularly strong introduction to them with Morals, their entrancing debut single under the guise of BATTS, a new collaborative project. Already with one well-received effort under their collective belt, the two are set to take a lot more peoples attention with Morals, and Tanyas truly captivating vocals are the first of many reasons for this being the case. Not long from the onset of the track, they appear in spellbinding fashion, and what light, well-accommodating atmosphere Ficci wraps around them only adds to the powerful ethereality of the piece as a whole. On remix duty, we are presenting a true legend : Martin Roth. Possessing a faintly upbeat, immensely chilled-out sound, the act brilliantly refashions Tanyas vocals and overhauls the originals aura by injecting a hefty amount of sonic exuberance. Gorgeous, deeply oscillated synths and break-filled drums give the piece an unexpected, supremely radiant essence and an untiring structure overall, making for an incredibly fresh listen for Morals.
