Tracks from Dave Carr's digital album "Hibiscus" reveal an independent artist perfecting a craft. Carr has the ability to shape simple grooves into infectious midtempo dance instrumentals. "Ladybug" is an outstanding adult contemporary dance number, the simplicity of "Ouch" is marvelous, and the perfunctory "Grip" rides a sweaty club beat.
