Originally recorded in year 2000, this album is musically diverse rock and R&B mix. Songs on the album have been covered by Lou Rawls (When The Night Comes) and Rick Derringer (White Heat, Shake Me, and Lesson Learned). Alan Merrill plays and sings most of the parts and wrote the lion's share of the songs on this project. The bass and drums are played skillfully by Dave Glover (ex-Slade and Brian Connolly's Sweet) and Pete Phipps (ex-Eurythmics, The Glitter Band and XTC). The new 2016 mixes are vastly improved from the album's original release 15 years ago, featuring more of the vocal aspects of Alan Merrill's talents. The 19 basic tracks were recorded in Portsmouth England in one day at BRS studio, with overdubs in Paris where Sal Bernardi (ex-Rikki Lee Jones band) joined on harmonica and vocal harmonies for one day at Studio Iguane. Then more overdubs in New York City in 2001 at Studio 900. The album was remixed and remastered by Jon Gordon at his studio in the Shelter Island complex in midtown Manhattan, in New York City.
