W.E.S. is a performer/composer/producer who has excelled in many genres of music. To try and tie him down to one style would be futile. He is well-versed in jazz, hip hop, house, world, techno, pop, soundtrack and many more and has performed with many musicians in these genres. His extensive experience is evident in his compositions that tastefully bring together sounds, moods and inflections from all of his experiences. He has performed or recorded with classic musicians of diverse genres such as James Moody, Donald Byrd and Aster Aweke as well as newer artists like Mike Phillips, Gigi and Wayna. He has also worked with actor/musicians Malcolm Jamal Warner and Cynda Williams and alternative hip hop artists Kokayi and Priest da Nomad.
