Singer-songwriter RUNG HYANG has announced that she will release her new EP Legassic on May 20. The title "Legassic" is a coined term combining "Legacy" and "Classic," conveying the idea of cherishing not only the future but also all the past influences that have shaped her. This concept is also reflected in the sound: while rooted in R&B and soul, the EP is composed with an expansive, cinematic approach. The project includes tracks such as "Seeds of life" and "Lull you," which were inspired by artwork from painter Lee Izumida and created under a collaborative initiative by Takashimaya and SALON adam et rope'. The initiative aims to realize a society where everyone-including people with visual impairments-can enjoy fashion. In addition, the six-track EP features the funky, groove-driven title song "Legassic," as well as "memento," a piece dedicated to her grandfather who passed away earlier this year. Altogether, the work presents a new form of expression within a soundscape that balances delicacy and depth.
