This country project is both deeply autobiographical and a sharp reflection on the people and behaviours that shape Teagan’s world. It celebrates the beauty of the ‘little things’, from falling in love to realising life is already sweet in ‘no sugar in my tea’. It also explores how the actions of others can affect your reality, as heard in ‘kind regards xxx’ and ‘watering dead grass’. To close the project, there’s a fearless anthem about her experiences as a woman, ‘to be a girl’ is the kind of song girls can scream at the top of their lungs when they’ve had enough. The project blends country with South African folk influences, melodic guitars, and punchy bass-driven rhythms. It’s Teagan’s exploration of identity, growth, and the story of her life so far. Now that the project is out in the world, She is ready to bring it to life on stage, starting at The Kaya Café and continuing across South Africa, connecting with audiences both offline and online.
