Acre - Forgotten E.P. My vision for lost codes was to find artists who have crafted their own sound within a scene where most artists we hear sound the same or take a similar approach to tunes. Acre is perfect for this vision. I first heard Acre on Saturate records and since he has just had a track announced on Tectonic plates Vol 4. I was always intrigued by his sound but with hardly anything to go off on soundcloud this is someone who really has a lot of hidden gems, I really think he will have a strong future. Again I have gone for his more Grimy sounds as I did with SD Laika as they both also realm along the lines of Techno at times. A real strong element throughout each track on this E.P is the drum rhythms he is really not afraid to experiment you could say 'SILVR' has a somewhat Soca feel. These mad patterns are complemented by strong bass hits and slides and SFX straight out of a retro computer game. My personal favourite is Physically which has them synth hits that take me back to when I was 18 going mad in some Dubstep rave, kind of a mix between Pinch and Bar 9 but then again its rhythm in hit screams Grime.
