Love Tools
Rising Dutch star and Twirl favorite, Lupe, returns to the label in blaring fashion with his dynamic “Love Tools EP”. His previous releases on the Twirl imprint, including ‘Give Me Body’ featuring Josh Café, and ‘Roots,’ were both reworked by dance music luminaries Spencer Parker and Chuck Daniels, respectively, while also met with great fanfare and support from the likes of Derrick Carter, The Black Madonna, and Heidi. ‘Overdrive’ charges in with old school Chicago style jackin’ drums that are robust and fierce. Slices of a sensual vocal interspersed with more frenetic percussion build into a hard-hitting synth line reminiscent of 90’s NYC tribal house, making this perfect for the adventurous revelers lost on the dancefloor. ‘The Park’ maintains the ferocious heat, opening with a deliciously dirty bassline and syncopated punches. Venturing even deeper into the hedonistic abyss of the night, this slammer draws listeners in with sultry arpeggiation and haunting breaths as it winds its way through the speakers.
