For the last decade and a half, founder Harris Robotis has been constantly immersed amongst electronic music, recording artists and record labels around the globe. As a DJ, Producer, Songwriter and well-known Branding/Graphic Designer, it was inevitable that he would one day magnetise his love for music, art direction and humour to begin a new chapter with his own musical imprint - Tones of Fun Records. Tones of Fun Records, a label that focuses its attention on 'tonnes of fun' dance floor gems, irrespective of whether they fall into any micro-genres of house/tech/techno. With this said it's only fitting that we introduce "Int-Eruption" the labels debuting EP by Harris himself. "Int-Eruption" is a metaphor for a musical club tale of when things that go terribly wrong during a set end up being the best thing that could have ever happened. Like when... that nagging person in the club just tries to interrupt you over, over and over again. Eventually, they are so persistent that they reach over and up bump the needle and it scratches across your favorite record. The music stops in awkwardness but you quickly realize the "vibe"-o-meter for the rest of your set is in your hands. It will either freeze up or blow up depending on your next move. You play roulette and randomly drop down the needle. Bang! You drop it right on the beat! Your night just completely erupts and you not only bring home the Prom Queen but all their friends too! This jam is a tasty treat for all the Patrick Topping, Riva Starr, Nathan Barato jackin beats lovers. But be warned - watch out for the unexpected "Int-Eruption" drop! If you bend an elastic band around your finger and let it go it usually hurts for a second as it hits your other fingers, but if you wait another 10 seconds for the tension to subside, you'll feel 10 x more awake and refreshed... introducing track two "Movin". Movin uses jackin beats, rubbery bass-lines, swung out lead lines and a cyclonic breakdown to bend and flick you into a fresh groove. Sounding like it should be a quote from Legally Blonde, the 'bend and flick' part is all about elastic tension and release that gets you Movin early on. This jam can also easily reset the vibe and is fit enough to Movin it's way into a range of sets both Jamie Jones and Jesse Rose can work with. Bonus extra instrumentals included.
