Soul Sista Shakti (Brenda Brewer) was born the daughter of a Baptist minister father and Dominican immigrant mother. Brenda was raised in New York City, where she immersed herself in the music of Brooklyn Gospel Tabernacle Choir. It was also in the New York City of the ‘70s where Brenda watched, listened to and learned from some of the most influential soul and funk musicians of our time. Brenda’s formal training in Music & Technology combined with her early gospel and soul roots strongly influenced her as both performer and songwriter, gaining her worldwide attention for her distinctive musical abilities. On this Digtal Single, Soul Sista Shakti lays down her sweet yet passionate vocal magic on one of her own compositions. JUST A LITTLE BIT was co-written with the song's producer Anastasi Mavrides.
