My band name is DEVEON.  My first instrument was the trumpet and my second instrument was piano, I begin singing at age five. By the time I reached age 17 I was writing original material and performing live on stage. I also started playing acoustic guitar to give my written lyrics a smooth and sometimes rough melody. At age 23, I was producing and arranging my  material, I was also collaborating with other great musicians, writers, and producers in and around my hometown of Chicago, aka the windy City aka Chi-Town. I begin performing  at various amphitheaters.   I signed my first recording contract with an independent record label known as BBC America.  I was the male lead vocalist in the duel R&B group known as the Smoke City Band. We had a number one hit song that quickly rose to the top of the charts blowing up the air waves on radio stations such as WGCI and other stations across the globe. The song Dreams was distributed by Epic Records.     I later moved to California to join the virtuoso group Mind Heart and Soul as the lead singer. The group landed a recording contract with Motown Records. We recorded songs written by myself and Michael Lovesmith who also wrote songs for Michael Jackson such as All I Do Is Think of You. It was Berry Gordy lV who discovered my talent as a songwriter and signed me to Jobete Music Co. Inc. One of the largest music publishing companies in the world.    I now perform live at various Spiritual Centers in and around the City of Los Angeles while singing my new hit gospel single titled GOD KEEPS BLESSING ME and HOLD ON.   I aspire to expand across the globe and touch the hearts of many people. I am the youngest of five siblings born into a family of multi talented musicians. My mother and father inspired me to sing and play musical instruments at the age of five. Both parents were professional jazz musicians. My mother was an extraordinary jazz vocalist and my father a music instructor.
