Matthew Cavender is no stranger to the more exploratory side of techno, using his vast knowledge and deep understanding of the gear he works with he creates a pleasant and evolving lead with a moving and at time breathing bass line for the title track of this EP. Taking you on a ride about midpoint the original has a bright yet haunting feeling that keeps your interest and keeps you wanting more. The Deep Dub mix: With every great release there should always be a dub edit. To The Missing Links credit, the dub mix is equally as impressive as the original. Doing what a dub mix should do, strip down and beef up the lower ends while maintaining the essence of the original. With a deeper moody feel the atmospheric elements really ring through the low ends giving a solid cohesiveness to the body of work. Return to the Bush: Moving in a very different direction than the other two tracks, Return to the Bush has classic written all over it. The arrangements and progression from the opening bar continue to grow into a wildly fantastic bright and melodic journey. Be patient with this track because at the 5:12 marker the shift in gears happens and drops a beautiful bass line accompanied by yet another stellar synth.
