Born in Melbourne Australia, Michelle Serret-Cursio began her singing career at the age of sixteen in high school performances. She quickly gained recognition performing in local venues and concerts, and at the age of twenty, her talent caught the eye of prominent musical director John Foreman, which lead to numerous regular appearances on Televisions 'Good Morning Australia' with Bert Newton. Michelle joined the highly acclaimed gospel group 'Adoration on the Gospel Train' and with several Television appearances including 'Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony' performing the national anthem live to an international television audience of millions, 'In Melbourne Tonight', 'Carols By Candelight', 'The AFL Grand Final' and 'The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal', Michelle earned recognition in the industry as a sought after vocal artist. With her unique vocal range and versatility, Michelle went on to record vocals for a number of prominent TV and radio advertisements, including Jetstar, Coles, Myer, Lexus and Mazda, and she continued to work extensively on TV, appearing in numerous shows including 'Rove Live', 'The Logie Awards', and 'The Footy Show'. Her vocals featured in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games opening ceremony. Renowned producer and musical director Chong Lim invited Michelle to be the permanent lead female vocalist on the Award winning Australian Series of 'Dancing With The Stars', where she has performed ‘live to air’ to a national audience of millions since the shows beginning in 2004. The show has been a ratings success, and Michelle has performed virtually thousands of songs in various languages including Italian, French, Spanish, German, Cantonese, Hindi, and Latin. Her flawless execution of numerous musical genre has encompassed virtually every musical style imaginable including Pop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Latin, Rock and RnB. It goes without saying that Michelle’s true versatility and immense vocal range makes her a highly sought after singer, often credited with her unique ability to bring out emotion in her audience, with her story like delivery of song. Australian television icon Daryl Somers, host of the early seasons of 'Dancing With The Stars', invited Michelle to be a regular vocalist in the studio band on the return of the iconic live variety TV show 'Hey Hey It’s Saturday'. Throughout her career, Michelle has performed alongside world renowned artists such as Olivia Newton John, Hugh Jackman, Kylie Minogue, John Farnham, Tina Arena, James Blunt and Darren Hayes. In 2012, Michelle took to the stage in the Australian debut series of the global TV smash 'THE VOICE' where she captured the attention of Celebrity judges Seal, Keith Urban, Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem, and went on as part of TEAM JOEL MADDEN. In 2013, Michelle fulfilled a lifelong dream and was invited to perform as vocalist in the world renowned show 'Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Human and Horse', an innovative multi-media and multi-disciplinary production created by Normand Latourelle, one of the co-founders of famed Cirque du Soleil.
