As One is the dynamic duo of husband and wife Sam and Wendy Williams. Their lastest CD entitled "Be Free" is a mixture of Jazz, R&B, Pop and Hip Hop sounds combined with powerful lyrics that move the spirit and inspire the heart. The message in their music proclaims victory in Christ to the hurt, wounded and those bound by fear and addition. Be Free, the title song on the CD, was featured in the movie, MVP, which opened at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. Growing up in Norfolk, Virginia in a musical family, Sam Williams began touring with his brothers in Mass Production, a funk, R&B band on Atlantic Records, in the early 80's. He joined the group as the drummer and eventually became one of the lead singers. There he began honing his skills as a songwriter and keyboard player. Wendy, at age 19 toured with West Street Mob, a hip hop, rap group out of Sugar Hill Records. She also recorded backgrounds with various local artists. Both having musical backgrounds, they began to write and record music together. They married in 1987 and made the greatest decision of their lives. They accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and began to use their talents and gifts to promote the gospel. They have served as worship leaders and song writers in their local church for many years. They currently live in East Stroudsburg PA with their 3 children and attend Faith International Church where they serve on the worship team under the guidance of Pastor Don and Terry Lynch.
