The main purpose behind the album has to do with inspiration from my wife. In 2003 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I didn't know what that was all about and how that would effect her or me. After our first child, my wife was unable to walk because of the MS. She was determined and kept telling me it was alright. I had asked her to be a part of our Christmas musical that year and she still continued her part, with two canes and pulled herself down the isle. I was floored by her strength and how she was able to press on. I was being molded by my Lord through her. Her walk with the Lord is still growing and even though parts of her body may be failing, the Lord is still creating a masterpiece. This didn't make sense to me, but in Philippians 1:6 it says that He who is started a work in me will continue it until the day of Jesus Christ. I am an ongoing Piece of Work; Piece Of Art. See, my wife is living proof of a God that is full of grace; a God that is full of mercy. She uses her disease to tell others of this Lord whom she loves and serves on a daily basis. She talks about it is an on going fight each and every day and how it is the hardest thing she has ever had to deal with. That she couldn't do this by herself, but only with the help of her Maker. She is a visual for the intention of God creation. We were created to reflect Him and here she is, on what other see as a broken canvas, she is reflecting a master craftsman; who knew exactly what He was doing.
