The Jet Black Berries have an illustrious history. The band originally gained notoriety as one of the groups that contributed to the infamous “Return of the Living Dead” soundtrack along with the Cramps, the Damned and the legendary Roky Erickson. The Jet Black Berries released 3 albums in the mid to late 80’s on Restless and Enigma Records and were the darlings of what was then known as psychedelic alternative rock. Their records charted high on CMJ charts. The band broke up in 1989.....but zombies are hard to kill......... In 2010 4 out of 5 of the original members of the Jet Black Berries reunited joined by a new lead singer, Johnny Cummings to create one more full length album, Postmodern Ghosts. The people at Bug Music heard the band and Bug Digital quickly reached an agreement with the band to distribute their new full length CD. The reviews of that CD were fantastic.
