Fresh Fish was written by Steve Keith and Mason Williams in 1973, while playing a gig at the Boarding House in San Francisco with the Santa Fe Recital. The tune is basically cartoony, perhaps akin to the Silly Symphonies of the 1930s, a good space for such a goofy marriage as bluegrass and symphony! No symphony orchestra on this recording, but someday there will be on this track.
