Fragile (Live)
Nouvelle (formerly known as Arms & The Woman) from Oslo has excisted since 2011 in various constellations. The foundation was made by Andreas Bade, Christian Volan and Casper Kvammme who all came from the dissolved indiepop-outfit, Amalee. From todays line-up they first found guitarist, Morten Fabrin (former The Palermo Surf Experience/CPH). A bit later they teamed up with vocalist and NISS-graduate, Linda Wik. Last, but not least, the band was complemented by pianoman, Karl Erik Holum, in order to get a more potent and varied soundscape. In 2014, Casper Kvamme decided to retire and was more or less immediately replaced by experienced drummer, Vegar Eriksfallet (former Explicit Lyrics). Musically it is a versatile and sometimes schizophrenic musical experience without being distinctive, taken or prententious. When changing name from Arms & The Woman to Nouvelle, the sound also took a slight turn from being fairly pop-based and straight forward, to being more experimental, noisy and at times a bit more melancholic. But still the band is rather undefinable and will not commit to any particular genre. If any apply, it would most likely be melodic noisepop.
