David Morton and Cole Young have been playing music together for six years. They finally decided to form ‘Stella & the Boys’ two years ago after they decided it was only a good thing that Cole play the banjo…and that a band with a banjo was way cooler than any other band. Named after David's antique 'Stella' guitar that was handed down to him by his great-grandmother, the 'boys' bring together many different musical styles: acoustic singer/songwriter, soul, rock, folk rock and worship. In March of 2014, Stella & the Boys went to Nashville, TN to record their first full length album at Center Street Studios. Their album, Highway Songs, releases June 9th of 2014.
