Davy & Amelia is the culmination of years of friendship between the heart throbbing Jacob Walker and Jenna Walker. Meeting at a local music event in small town Crestview Florida in middle school, the great enterprise of their journey from that point until now, landing them in San Antonio, TX, has been one of excitement, adventure, heartbreak, and more. This comes through in their music, as heard in “The Great Love.” Every song will accompany you down memory lane and through a world of adventure, resulting in the name based off of American legends Davy Crockett, and Amelia Earhart. With their debut EP, “Norah June,” available November 1st, 2013, Davy & Amelia capture the aspects of life that so many of us spend a lifetime trying to describe. The 4 track EP takes you through the adventures of growing into adulthood, falling in love, and the joys of living in the south. With their first child on the way, they decided to name the project after their soon to be daughter, “Norah June.” The songs are rich with anthemic chants, permeated with thought provoking metaphors, and layered with musical taste that has been compared to Johnny Cash’s “driving train” and the harmonic value of Joni Mitchell’s “simple but beautiful” melodies.
