Thursday Stew is a sampling of songs written by Bob Wilson, a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter, and storyteller who has performed traditional Appalachian, bluegrass, blues, country, and roots music for over fifty years. His songs tell stories of life and love, joy and sorrow, roads traveled and the people who traveled them, and tucking in to a steaming bowl of his mother's "Thursday Stew." Some songs are "toe tappers." Some have haunting melodies that linger in the ears long after the song has ended. Bob has been a performing musician since his late teens. On this album, recorded in a sophisticated multi-track recording studio, Bob accompanies himself on rhythm guitar, old-time banjo, lead guitar, mandolin, fiddle, keyboard, accordion, and such percussion instruments as Cajun triangle, latin cajon, washboard, and wire brushes on a pizza box.
