CHINA DOLL are a five-piece indie/roots band from Perth that have just unleashed their new single “She Don’t Need To Know” in which Tap Shoes, bottom heavy piano and a short tempered guitar make a home for a promiscuous creature that would rather “get the job done" than hear about your life story. "She Don't Need To Know" is the title track off their debut EP, which was recorded by Joel Quartermain from Eskimo Joe and mastered by Mandy Parnell (Feist, Nick Cave). In late 2012, the band picked up a WAM Song Of The Year nomination for their song “Jump” which received national airplay on community radio stations. 2013 sees the band with a few festivals under their belt including the Nannup Music Festival and The Boyup Brook Music Festival – where they recently took out the “Best Group” award, as well as the Nukara Music Festival and Folkworld Fairbridge Festival. Described as “One of Perth’s hardest working bands” by many, the band’s medium of choice is a live gig.
