Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Humberto Ramírez has graced the Latin Jazz genre with his talent as a musician, composer, arranger, producer, recording artist and bandleader since his recording debut in 1992. He has secure a spot as a leading artist in the crowded and competitive Latin Jazz genre making him one of the most important Jazz musicians of his generation. With 18 albums in a 17 year recording career, Ramírez has demonstrated his great vision and talent mixing a span of genres and styles from straight ahead to jazz with the unequivocal Latin influence of afro-caribbean rhythms.
