In the dead of the night when the world is in hibernation, I lay there as my thoughts become louder and noisier. It feels as though a bomb has gone off in my brain. I can feel the aftermath of the explosion…the destruction…I feel vulnerable and broken, scared and confused. How can I escape from all this chaos I wonder? Will it go away? Will it quiet down eventually (or ever) and let me be? How long can one take all this? Is it possible to break your brain I wonder…It feels like it just may break if it continues to bend anymore… It is at this moment of hopelessness that you know it can not possibly get any worse…or could it? You only wish it would all go away, turn black…shut down. I have become I am “This Broken Beast”.
