The bilingual singer/songwriter known as Melissa Otero has already made a buzz with her first single "My First Everything". Her new pop/R&B sound has the audiences wanting more! Trying to create music which people can relate to, Melissa uses her own experiences as part of her inspiration. During that time English music became more popular and kids all over her hometown idolized her for always staying true to her heart. "It's not that I don't like Spanish, it's that I want to crossover into Spanish later on while letting the world know that I actually lived most of my life in Puerto Rico. Staying true to my roots is always a big factor for me, but English was the first language that I learned and so, I knew mainly American artists and my idols are mostly English singing artists with the exception of Gloria Estefan and Ednita Nazario."
