Minimal invaded the Miami music scene in 2003. With more than ten years experience in the local scene, its members bring about a fresh style in which traditional Latin rhythms meet intense guitars and drum machines. Furthermore, the band presents in its lyrics a unique story-telling tradition where reality meets the imagination at some neutral point. In great part, Minimal derives its essence from universal cycles of creation, recycling, change, and destruction. Moreover, molded by this process the band seeks its refuge to give way to the sounds that make possible its existence. Culturally, the band shows through its members the existing diversity of South Florida and of the U.S. in general. Its own style and sound are a result of this diversity, which the band and its members, in term, recycle for their growth and individual development. Gabriel Ayala, Fernando Loo, Roberto Taninaka, Alejandro Angée and Jose Luis Amador (as a permanent collaborator) make up this combo. Con más de diez años de experiencia en la escena local, sus integrantes brindan una propuesta fresca en la cual se acercan ritmos tradicionales latinoamericanos con sonidos eléctricos y maquinas de sonido. Mas aún, Minimal presenta en su lírica un estilo "cuenta-cuentista" donde se presentan pasajes de la imaginación, la realidad y muy especialmente de lo que ocurre en el medio. Su esencia se deriva, en gran parte, de ciclos universales de creación, destrucción, reciclaje y cambio. Minimal, moldeado por este proceso, se refugia en él para dar paso a los sonidos que así marcan su existencia.
