Pulling all these elements together, Nita has found a beautiful blend of music that soothes the soul on this her first ever Christmas studio album that melds both sacred and secular music using many musical genres. "Keep a Little Christmas" her latest CD, showcases her producing and songwriting capabilities as well. A former Miss Louisiana, Nita took her southern roots, charm and show-stopping talent to Los Angeles were her incredible voice carried her to Hall of Fame Female Grand Champion on “Star Search”, after winning an unprecedented thirteen times. With a vibrant and dynamic stage presence that is unequaled, Nita is comfortable singing in any setting, from an intimate club to the arena stages. She's sung duets with Andrea Bocelli and played in the jazz arenas with trumpeter Chris Botti. Nita also was mentored by legendary producer David Foster as his one of his featured artists, performed the demos for such Whitney Houston classics as "I Will Always Love you", "I Have Nothing", and "I look to you". Nita has also shared the stage with many artist including Michael Bolton, Patti Austin, Faith Hill, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Stevie Wonder and Yolanda Adams. Nita’s current CD follows three other independent projects titled “Nita Whitaker”, “One Voice”, and "LifeStories". The best is yet to come!
