The full-length album “Unlock the Sound” comes from the heart of a worshipper, but it’s not a worship album. Call it Contemporary Christian, although that doesn’t quite describe it either. Preferring not to be pigeonholed into one musical style, Michelle Garcia takes an eclectic approach that touches on pop, rock, orchestral, r&b, and world influences. A storyteller and a dreamer, she incorporates a blending of elements to best paint the picture and to give her some room to linger vocally. With her lyrics, she will walk you through moments of praise, prayer, poetry and story-telling, and also includes some lyrics in Spanish and Hebrew. The common thread in her debut album “Unlock the Sound” is her undeniable love for God and infusing His Word into her musical expression.
