Richie MIlton and Bill Farrow originally got together to record an album of original songs called "Barefoot and Blue" It was so well received they went back to Roundel Studios and recorded this album of new tracks.Bill wrote the title track "New Tracks (down an old road)" which basically sums up this collection. Twelve original songs excellently played in the classic roots styles. Skiffle, blues, hokum, country, even a bit of gospel. Milton and Farrow both play guitars and sing with Alan Glen providing masterful harmonica, Eddie Masters on bass fiddle and Graham Hollingworth on drums and percussion. Also, guest appearances by Wag Porter on violin and Steve King on accordion add to the flavour and texture of these original songs played in a traditional and vibrant style. There's even a couple of bonus tracks. Who could forget "Odd Sox Boogie Blues" and "Hammersmith and City Line" !
