(Coming Going) This track is a couple years in the making, and it started out with my old Roland Alpha Juno, actually my mom's alpha Juno, which she lent me when i was 11 and I haven't really given it back. I had it for years and then took it to Chris Smith's studio in San Francisco, where I left it (oops) and it got put in storage for 5 years or so. Then after some careful coaxing, Chris agreed to pack it in a box and sent it to my new place in LA. Chord memory is an old time trick in dance music, but I feel like it can still be explored. The name of the song relates to my hiatus from dance music (i had to disappear for 5 or 10 years to deal with some issues with addiction and raise a family) through ups and downs, Coming, going, coming back again, maybe going, who knows. The journey continues.
