Inxa Impro Quartet is a synthesis of Manu's Sabaté Final Degree Project (or Initial Life Project). The goal of the album is doubly suggesting: due to the genre and the instrument used. In fact Inxa Impro Quartet explores improvisation with folk materials (from Catalonia and rest of Europe), giving to the genre new possibilities; and also discovers a new potential on the gralla (popular Catalan oboe); instrument that has a lot of possibilities still to discover! This project has been done with excellent musical partners: Marc Figuerola on guitar, Joan Tomàs on doublebass and Arnau Obiols on drums. Inxa Impro Quartet sings up in the process of renovate and create Catalan contemporary folk music and dignify their traditional instruments.
