Michael Cressey and Melissa D of Chill have teamed up to create an album that embraces the spirit of an old fashioned, New England Christmas. Cozy up with a cup of hot chocolate and sing along with all your old favorites. Melissa Durkee (aka Melissa D) is a classically trained vocalist, seasoned singer, songwriter from Southern Vermont. Mike Cressey is an accomplished musician, producer and talented guitar player from Grantham, NH. Together, they form the dynamic duo, “Chill” that features cover songs, like “Someone like you,” by Adele and originals ranging from folk, pop, rock and new grass selections. One fan said, “Melissa D has got it all!! She can sing rock, new grass, blues, country and even the old standards, you name it and she can sing it with heart and passion!" Melissa D has been singing since she was 3 years old and used to get up in front of a huge congregation of people at her church and belt out tunes when she was 7 years old. She continued her musical journey as an adult in the 90's and early 2000's when she sang with two rock bands, one was called the Alley Katz and the other was called Mel and the Mojos. She was also in a new grass band called Northern Ridge from 2013 - 2014.. She is currently performing with Chill and as a solo act. She has performed at many venues, clubs, weddings, private concerts and corporate events. Melissa also writes custom songs for businesses and individuals. Michael Cressey is a seasoned musician and songwriter based out of Grantham, NH. He has been playing music for audiences since he was 13 years old. He can play many instruments and excels at all of them and makes it look easy! :-) . He plays guitar, bass, keyboards, harmonica and mandolin. He has performed over the years at restaurants, clubs, farmers markets, private parties and weddings. Michael has produced and recorded five CDs. They are also on CD baby.
