Lowtide is a 4-piece hard rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band's roots date back to 1998, and with only a drummer change over the years, has kept the same core together for over a decade. The band's style is often difficult to define, but think of it as Van Halen meets Alice in Chains. Guitar solos, big choruses, angry lyrics, that somehow mesh together perfectly to create, tight-crafted, hard rock tunes. You won't get any ballads on this CD, everything is in-your-face hard rock. It hits you in the face like a truck. Lowtide recorded their 10-song debut CD at various studios around Southern California in the summer of 2006, and produced and mixed it with the help of John McKay of Suitcase Recordings in 2008. The band and John worked hard to put Lowtide's high-energy brand of hard rock on display, with their wall of guitars of up front, along with their snarling vocals, and gang-like choruses.
