In 1994 my middle brother and I were in West Texas at South Plains College. There in Levelland, Tx. Being over 15 hours away from home. We experimented with a lot of various pharmaceutical drugs of sorts. Like a lot of young kids do. So with that said, I wrote the first verse & the first couple of lines of the chorus while in college and simply tucked it away into my unfinished song pile. 2007 rolls around. I'm reading this article out of a magazine. It's all about statistics on medications that are bought and consumed in the U.S. The first thing that pops in my head is "man we are literally living in zombie land"! That sparked the creative juices for "The Pill"! With all the controversy going on in the world today...I have no doubt that there is a pill for whatever ails you!
