In the early days, as a self taught bassist, Apacolips has been blessed to perform with local bands in the Washington DC metro area. Performed with several churches, R&B groups, Jazz, Funk bands, etc. Apacolips has appeared in Coliseums, Clubs, College campuses, Parks, as well as House parties. Apacolips also is currently playing the bass guitar with "Anthology" featuring Jimi Dougans (formerly of the Young Senators). The Young Senators was the recording and travel band of the late great Eddie Kendricks after he departed from the legendary Temptations, and began his solo career. Look out for Apacolips' solo bass album in the very near future. Growing through a life of self destruction, Apacolips is experiencing true resurrection. Evolving from a mental and spiritual death, that which has come forth through this recent release will definitely define a clear picture of life after death. "Apacolips (Face Yo-Self) is a project that allowed me to look within myself and pull out some of my experiences, some of what I've been taught and some of what I've seen, then address them with a two-edged sword. This album points out good and evil, truth and falsehood, human and divine, with the objective of causing those who partake in it to "face yo-self" and overcome all obstacles in our path. This project is also my mission statement, which is to force the minds of humanity out of the grip of satanic forces through the power and gift of music." So, face yo-self, embrace yo-self and enjoy.
