Disillusioned Rebels
Tranquilizer thrives in the blood and guts of real rock and metal, drawing from influences such as Black Sabbath, Corrosion Of Conformity, Down, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Black Label Society. Tranquilizer plays heavy music the way it is supposed to be played, without concern for trends or fashion. Tranquilizer formed in spring 2005 near Orlando, FL, along with the unique "Confentagram" image. They have turned heads throughout the southeast with their high energy shows, and have opened for WASP, Alabama Thunderpussy and Artimus Pyledriver. Referred to as "Melodic Southern Doom" by Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles (issue #105) Highlights from BW & BK review of Tranquilizer's "Disillusioned Rebels": "The music's catchy, no doubt about that." "...'Pay It No Mind' rocks with authority." "Their bucking of trends and determination to stick to what they truly love comes through loud and clear..." "The effort put forth is a serious one..." Review in Connections magazine, August 2007: "Anyone who has seen southern metal bashers Tranquilizer live knows they open a serious can of musical whoop-ass on stage. That raw intensity has been captured in the form of ones and zeros on the band's long-awaited 8-song CD. We liked everything about this solid effort-the songs, performance, tracking, mix, mastering, and even the cover art. The sound, combined with the band's grab-you-by-the-balls approach, this is an explosive album that belongs in any metalhead's collection."--Paul Hennig, Connections Magazine, Orlando, Florida.
