Father Fortune
This is the music and sound track for the story of Father Fortune, a Catholic priest who literally "rocks" the Church establishment and its followers. His lyrics and preaching style are so powerfully influenced by eastern religious teachings and spiritualism, that he becomes wildly controversial while his popularity soars as a musician and media figure. He becomes a threat to the Church and its traditional believers, while emerging as an idol to his fans. The song themes range from tough social commentary and protest, to uplifting and sweet. These tracks were recorded over many years with numerous collaborating musicians and singers. Half were written by Frank Daller and Brad MacDonald, except for the new arrangement of the classic, "If I Had a Hammer". These first five were produced by Daller and MacDonald and recorded at Eastern Sound, Toronto. The other five were written by Clive Smith. These were produced by Daller and Smith, and recorded at Apres Midi Studios in Paramus, New Jersey. The Father Fortune website expands on this multi-media project with the story, lyrics and related artwork.
