I got the inspiration to do this album from the film, 'Mr. Brooks'. In the film, he's a businessman, detail-oriented, is battling an addiction, betrayed by another character named "Mr. Smith," and cares for his family. I can relate to the main character because I'm a businessman, detail-oriented, care for my family and friends, I was betrayed by a former childhood friend with the last name "Smith," and I'm a recovering pill addict. I would say that the moral behind this album is that everyone has two sides...the side we show the world and the side we try to hide. Other areas where I was influenced was the 'Hannibal Lecter' saga, my nightmares, and how I think when I use pills. So this album is basically a dark, blunt way of showing how drugs and medication can affect people from my personal experience. By doing this, I hope others can learn from my experiences and not go down the road that I did.
