Dub Natty Sessions was formed in early 2009 in a ghetto called “Caricuao”, southwest of Caracas, Venezuela, to revive the sound of Dub to spread the message of peace and love. This band recorded their first record in 2013 with legendary founder of the reggae movement in Britain, Dennis Bovell. Dennis “Blackbeard” Bovell participates as a special guest singing, mixing and producing their first record. This album was recorded in the City of Manchester (England) with various session musicians. The first album lists 8 instrumental Dub tracks with influences from Reggae, Jazz, Latin and inspired by the great sound of Matumbi, Linton Kwesi Johnson, King Tubby, Lee Perry, Bunny Lee and others.
