Distant is my first original composition to be fully recorded and distributed. I was asked to compose the piece for a short film, also called "Distant" by Dannii Shorthouse, which follows the story of someone tackling the inner demons they possess in their daily life. The video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwuBio3fxOg The piece itself brings an atmosphere of calm, but also provokes thought and inner reflection, and whilst being mostly a sad piece, there are hints of positivity! I know well enough myself that life is never perfect and the past year for me has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions and feelings for many reasons, and making music like this is a great way to forget all that has happened, and live life like theres no tomorrow.
