In 1961, the Drake Equation was formulated as a means of predicting if other intelligent civilisations may exist in our galaxy. The music delivers ambient, downtempo electronica that draws upon a wide range of influences. Combining natural and synthesised sound sources, with classical and modern composition elements, this is music that looks to the future. The Drake Equation is the music of Geoff Hill, and features the vocals of Nathan Kneen on tracks 4 & 6. Both have a background in classical music, with Geoff studying classical piano before embracing keyboards with blinking lights. His influences include acts such as Boards of Canada, Royskopp, Brian Eno, and Sigur Ros. Nathan has performed and toured through Germany with the Ten Tenors.
