TOS is an alternative rock band comprised of five young and multi-talented musicians, ages 16-20, from metro-west Boston. Formed in September 2015, TOS is fronted by lead vocalist and songwriter, Sophia Ward with Jackson Parker on electric guitar, Jonathan Sommer on acoustic guitar, Jae Mannion on bass and backup vocals, and Mitchell Rolla on drums. The band performs all original songs. Sophia is a prolific and sensitive writer with a uniquely "Killer" voice, whose compositions come to full and breathtaking fruition in the collaborative hands of her talented band-mates. Their music is a sophisticated blend of up-tempo tunes (Soul Keeper, Cry Baby), slow and beautiful Ballads (Waterfall, The One), and wry, clever commentaries on life (Reckless). TOS songs convey a depth and breadth of feeling, perspective, and experience that transcend their years, and appeal to a wide demographic. "Killer" was recorded over a weekend in February of 2016. It was deliberately recorded fast, and live in the studio, to capture the energy of the band. Averaging three takes per song, the band selected the cuts for the album. "Killer" is truly a band driven project from the original songs and performances, to the album artwork. An amazing album that you will listen to over and over. Enjoy!
