”Black Arrow is a tale of sex and violence; freedom and fertility; rebellion and revenge. With lots of rock 'n roll” Tales of Diamond Eyes has been a long running labour of love for Black Arrow, being about 2 years in the making. The character of “Diamond Eyes” came about one sunny weekend in a smoky garage. He began life as a small sidenote on another song already in production and was loved so much that he ended up with an entire album dedicated to his life and obsession with his love of the perfect woman (i.e. the “Silver Lady”). While the 3 members of Black Arrow share a love of rock music, they have each contributed their own personal influences to the completion of this album. While this album may not stick to a single genre, the album flows smoothly between folky ballads such as “Close your Eyes” to Chuck Berry-esque blues on “Crystal Death” and culminating in the much heavier rock sounds of “The Ballad Of Diamond Eyes”.
