Titus is an Alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of Brendan Flavin, Blake Baldwin, and Dan Finter. The band was formed in 2014 after Flavin graduated Musician’s Institue and met Baldwin who was finishing his final year at the California Institute of the Arts. The two began finishing demo material and collaborating on new songs when they recruited Dan Finter, another graduate of Musician’s Institute, to begin recording their debut album “Don’t Fear The Fall”. The group recorded and mixed the entire album in Flavin’s garage studio over the course of 2015 and began performing throughout Los Angeles and Hollywood. They performed at the CalArts Halloween Party, the school’s largest event, and later were invited to play at UCLA’s Dance Marathon presented by the Pediatric AIDS Coalition. Titus’ alternative rock sound is derived from the power of vintage arena rock with their thematic choruses and heavy riffs combined with the raw energy and memorable melodies found in power pop. Titus strives to capture the rock identity that was born in the 60’s and 70‘s and revive that spirit in today’s modern generations. The band leads listeners through a wide spectrum of thoughts and emotions with lyrics spawning from human experience and instrumentation that is reminiscent of a hero’s journey.
