Io is just two guys: Allen Hawkins and Nathan Clingman. It began in 1999 as a collaboration in the living room of Allen's apartment, of which both musicians worked at the local Pizza Hut together. The sounds grew, songs began to flow forth from the crude recording equipment they had at the time, and before too long, a two-man band was born. Being both working stiffs, they managed to create, update and release an album with the free time they could muster over the course of a few of years. Currently they are in the process of assembling songs for a second ablum, as well as learning the basics for beginning an "Io Fan Club" website. As Allen would say, "Doing this **** yourself after work can be close to impossible sometimes, but always, ALWAYS worth it in the end." Io would like thank all the people who have given their music a listen, as well as those who are just now discovering their sounds. There will be more to come, rest assured.
